ArtistMum: Art Club -Day 9 and 10

Apologies for not posting the last two art club sessions earlier but the holidays really took up most of my time, in a very good way though!
The last two classes focused on finishing up any projects we still were working on and we made some Christmas ornaments that I thought would be a nice ‘last minute’ gift for the kids to give to parents or grandparents.
Here are the photos of our last sessions:

Besides using their own hand carved stamps on the clay and paper, the students also had the opportunity to use some of my personal Christmas stamps on the clay. They had so much fun!

And this is what I was busy doing during the holiday break!

Lots and lots of decorated Christmas cookies that disappeared as quick as a wink!
I will do a step by step tutorial on the clay ornaments in my next post. They come out so pretty and can be further embellished for a more polished look. This could also be used for other holidays as well!
I’m hoping I will have enough students for another art club this next semester. I plan on doing more projects using different art materials including oil pastels, wire, colored pencils, with some more concentration on drawing skills.
